Dr. Darren Brownlee is a Senior Division Chair of Education at the Mayo Clinic of Florida. He is a former scholarship athlete, playing football at West Virginia University, later earning his Master of Health Administration from Hofstra University, and his Doctor of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Johns Hopkins University. He is a proven leader in the management of both people and resources with special strengths in operations, analytics, health equity, and enhancing access.In addition to his profession, Dr. Brownlee is a Past Chapter President and previous Board Member of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Leader Alum, a former United Way Northeast Florida Stein Fellow, an alum of Leadership Jacksonville, and is a part of the current Leadership Florida – Connect Class 13. He continues to serve in various capacities in his community and is a proud Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity, Inc. Recently, Dr. Brownlee was recognized in the Jacksonville Business Journal’s list of 40 Under 40 as well as the Florida Black Expo’s list of Top 20 Under 40. He continues to serve and excel in fostering collaboration, mentoring, and forming successful internal and external partnerships.
