Diana Donovan is the Executive Director & CEO of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville and a recognized change agent in arts leadership and public policy. A strategic driver of cultural investment in Northeast Florida, she has led record-breaking public funding efforts, transformative policy initiatives, and historic programmatic milestones.
Under her leadership, the Cultural Council has reached unprecedented heights: securing $8.25 million in merit-based grants for iconic institutions like the Florida Theatre and Jacksonville Symphony; launching the city’s first publicly funded artist grant program, serving over 60 local artists; and more than doubling local artist representation in public art from 15% to 35%. She’s also increased the city’s public art collection by over $2 million and delivered nearly $1 million in capital projects—with multiple works earning statewide recognition this year alone.
A Jacksonville Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree and JAX Chamber Trustee, Diana also serves in key leadership roles across Florida’s top civic networks, including Leadership Florida, Leadership Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Women’s Network, and as Class Chair of the WGA Delores Barr Weaver Fellowship. She is an inaugural member and former presidential appointee to the Hightower Fellowship, and currently sits on both the Florida Cultural Alliance Advocacy Board and the James Weldon Johnson Park Board.
