Michael Strahl is the Market President of Hylant Jacksonville, where he leads the firm’s efforts to deliver strategic risk management, insurance, and employee benefits solutions to businesses across the region. He relocated to Jacksonville in May 2025 to take on this leadership role, bringing with him more than 13 years of experience in the insurance industry and a strong track record of building meaningful client and partner relationships.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Michael attended the University of Georgia before beginning his career on the insurance carrier side of the business. He later transitioned to the broker side of the business, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the industry and the ability to advise clients with both strategic insight and practical market knowledge. Over the last four years, he has specialized in serving Japanese-owned businesses operating in the United States, helping organizations navigate complex risk and insurance needs in a dynamic business environment.

Since moving to Jacksonville, Michael has quickly immersed himself in the civic and business community. He serves as a trustee of the JAX Chamber of Commerce, is a member of Influence Jax, a founding member of the Sporting JAX Business Alliance, and a chairman for the Gator Bowl Committee. His commitment to community engagement reflects both his leadership philosophy and his desire to help strengthen Jacksonville’s business and cultural landscape.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys live music, playing pickup basketball, and exploring the city with his red fox lab, Rufus.
