FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Public Art Work “Imagination Tree” Installed At Brentwood Branch Public Library

A large-scale, colorful mural will be installed on Wednesday, February 23 at the new Brentwood Branch Library located at 3725 Pearl Street. The work was created by artist Kelli Bickman of Jacksonville.

The artist will be working with contractors from the branch library to adhere the work to the wall in the children’s reading room of the library. The canvas mural measures 5-feet by 10-feet. Entitled “Imagination Tree,” the work depicts children engaged in reading while imaginative activities and scenes take place around them.

The best time to shoot the installation will be between 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. If there is a change in the schedule, we will notify you as much in advance as possible.

Bickman has had experience in the literary arts as the publisher of her own books in addition to illustrating and designing book jackets for several notable authors. Her paintings have been exhibited widely in New York and Florida and appear in many private collections. This project for the Art in Public Places Commission is her first large-scale mural commission.
