“These artists bring a great deal of talent from their respective fields for the benefit of our Duval County public school students,” said Robert Arleigh White, executive director of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville. “When selecting these artists we look for a fresh approach and new ways of delivering subject matter and technique. I believe Michael and John will accomplish both, in their work with our elementary, middle and high school students.”
The Artist-in-Residence and Musician-in-Residence programs are administered by the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville as a part of its arts education program, which also includes professional development for teachers, arts education advocacy, and grants for schools.
