Cultural Council and Florida Blue
Continue Grantmaking Partnership

JACKSONVILLE – The Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville is pleased to announce the continuation of its grantmaking partnership with Florida Blue. The 2012 Florida Blue Arts and Cultural Education Grant Program will provide six $5,000 grants for children’s programs that foster arts education, appreciation and awareness and promote multicultural awareness and diversity. The grant program is open to small and mid-sized arts and cultural organizations operating in Duval, Nassau, St. Johns, Clay and Baker counties.

Designed to strengthen the programs and institutions that allow the arts to flourish, the grant program benefits the residents of the five-county Northeast Florida region. A group comprised of representatives from both the Cultural Council and Florida Blue review eligible applications and make award recommendations. The program is administered by the Cultural Council.

“Florida Blue is a leader in our community in its support of art and culture. We are pleased to continue this productive partnership to further the artistic programs of Northeast Florida’s cultural organizations,” said Robert Arleigh White, executive director of the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville.

To apply online, please visit the Cultural Council’s website at www.culturalcouncil.org/organizations/cultural-council-grants/. Deadline for applications is August 15.
