Proposals are being sought from consulting teams qualified and experienced in creating public art master plans. Teams may include a combination of visual artists, public art administrators and/or design professionals from relevant fields, but must include at least one practicing visual artist with demonstrated experience in public art. Budget for the development of The City of Calgary Public Art Program Master Plan including the civic art collection, percent for public art and Land Use Policy & Planning Department (LUPP) density bonus program (private development is $125,000. Jacksonville Children’s Chorus – Accompanist

The primary duties of the accompanist are to accompany rehearsals, performances, and tours, and assist the Concert Choir Conductor in planning the concert season and auditioning. Other duties depending on the applicant’s skills and qualifications may include rehearsing and coaching soloists, preparing smaller groups for run-out concerts, and education outreach projects. This is a part time position.
Qualifications: The successful applicant should possess a degree in music, and have a strong background in piano accompaniment. Organ experience desirable. The applicant should also have knowledge of historical practices. Applicants should love working with young singers and be able to work collaboratively with artistic and administrative staff.

Cathedral Arts Project – Guest Artists

The Cathedral Arts Project is seeking qualified visual artists, photographers and folk artists to enhance CAP’s programming in elementary school classes with innovative, short term projects. Guest artists will spend one or two afternoons in each class. The intents is to expose students to unique skills or projects that will augment standard curriculum. i.e. claymation, computer art, weaving, jewelry-making, pottery, bookbinding, silk screening, etc.
