Art, science and imagination meet at the Cummer’s interactive education center, Art Connections, where hands-on exhibits teach basic art principles. Curriculum-coordinated programs are available for middle and high school students. Free passes are offered for magnet school-tour participants and their families. In-service programs are available for teachers and cross-curricular lesson plans are available on the website.

JMOMA’s education department acts on its belief that “art makes you smart” with a variety of programs for teachers and students. Guided tours for student groups integrate visual thinking strategies while the ArtExplorium Loft and hands-on art-making activities are designed to address FCAT skills. Scholarships available to schools. JMOMA’s in-service educator workshops are for teachers of all disciplines. Professional development points available.
