Provides artistic excellence and variety through free performances and exhibitions that target specific youth audiences from elementary to secondary levels. Education programs coordinate with the season’s music series as the artists visit schools with master classes and concerts. Special concerts for students at community venues offer student busing. Additionally, its Artist-in-Residence Program serves individual schools.

This group of volunteer musicians provides free performances and clinics to area schools. The Wind Quintet takes the sounds of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn into classrooms to share the woodwind experience through performance and discussion. Annually, provides performance/ evaluation at a local high schools to help bands prepare for the Florida Bandmasters evaluation.

Annually sponsors the Young Artist Piano Auditions in January for performances at Friday Musicale. Four-year scholarships are offered to high school seniors bound for college music programs. Juried competitions are held for children in grades 5 – 12. All concerts are free and open to the public.

Offers field trips to special concerts tailored for elementary, middle, and high school students. In School Ensembles arranges visiting performers in elementary and middle schools. JSO Docents visit area schools to prepare students for concert field trips as well as conducting the Instrument Zoo, a lively hands-on experience with orchestra instruments. The Youth Orchestra provides a unique learning opportunity and annually performs eight concerts for area schools. Teacher and student discounts are available.

A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting bluegrass music by encouraging elementary and middle school children to learn and play it. Provides concerts and in-school demonstrations with hands-on activities to involve students with music making.

Project Listen provides area elementary schools with standards-based lesson plans and performances focusing on the connection between music and literacy, presented by professional musicians in Jacksonville. Workshops and master classes with visiting artists are also available for advanced music students. Student’s price for any RFAA’s concerts is $5.

The SJRC Youth Bands are open to middle and high school students interested in performing in a concert or jazz band. Partners with the Duval County School System to provide performances, educational concerts and master classes with What is Jazz?, Music for Young People, and Jazz in the Schools. St. Johns River City School of Music provides personal and group music instruction for students of all ages.
