Cambridge Street Underpass, MA – Request for Qualifications

The Cambridge Arts Council (CAC) in Cambridge, MA is seeking qualifications from artists and designers interested in a two-dimensional public art project for the Cambridge Street Underpass. The site is a large vehicular underpass at the west end of Cambridge Street near Harvard Square. The Cambridge Street Underpass public art project presents a unique challenge to turn long expanses of concrete wall into an active and vibrant visual experience using a limited color palette. It is a highly visible site, with approximately 30,000 cars travelling through daily. The surrounding context of this main thoroughfare includes historic Harvard Square, the Cambridge Common, a fire station, and the Harvard University campus, including Memorial Hall, the Law School, and Harvard Yard.

The Fort Worth Art Commission invites artists to submit qualifications for potential inclusion in the Fort Worth Public Art (FWPA) Pre-Qualified Public Artist List – the primary resource for artist selection for most City of Fort Worth public art projects.
Examples of types of projects are: traffic roundabouts, streetscapes and parks, architectural projects, Urban Village streetscape projects, neighborhood parks, existing community centers, branch libraries, fire stations, and mural commissions on existing city buildings or wallsand design charettes. Jacksonville International Airport Main Terminal – Request for Qualifications

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority and Jacksonville International Airport Arts Commission are seeking artists to develop and submit site specific artwork proposals for the Courtyard Restroom Fin Wall and two Water Fountain Surrounds, which is centrally located within JIA between the Haskell Gallery and the Sky Gallery. This will be a focal point of the courtyard, which is JIA’s most heavily traveled area, with nearly six million passengers per year. First Annual Sculpture Promenade Project: Germantown, TN- Request for Submissions

The City of Germantown Public Art Committee is seeking artwork for the First Annual Sculpture Promenade Project in Germantown, Tennessee. Dates for the project are October 2012 through August 2013. The temporary installation 7 sculptures will be situated around the Germantown Municipal Square comprising 45 acres surrounding the Library, Athletic complex, and Performing Arts Center. Only one of these works may be potentially sited indoors. One interior work of art is sought that is suitable for suspension from the ceiling of the City Hall public area.
