The City of Ocala and the Marion Cultural Alliance have partnered to bring to the community a new, themed Juried Art Show Series: Culture Builds…”Living Communities”, “Inspiring Spaces”, and “Evolved Play”. The show themes were chosen to emphasize the impact that culture has in our daily lives. This three show series will debut in November 2012 with a total of $6,000 in awards for the artists! Each show will result in a 6 month exhibit on one of our city’s premier public spaces and will include an opening reception that showcases Ocala’s culture. Art work will be for sale during the exhibits.

Northeast Florida Sculptors-Call for Artists-April/May 2012

Northeast Florida Sculptors group is a gathering of 3-D artists whose intent is to promote sculptural artists and art forms, share knowledge and ideas, and create a cohesive community amongst sculptors in the region. The installation will be held at the Everbank Building, Riverside Ave, 1st FL, southside of Lobby. Non-Juried and no theme participants are expected to create works appropriate to a public venue. To be eligible, artists must submit a completed application form with $150 fee by March 9, 2012. Make checks or money orders out to and send or deliver (thru mail slot) applications to David Engdahl, 934 Sorrento Road, Jacksonville, FL 32207.

Tree-themed Sculpture Competition for Downtown Urbana, IL

The City of Urbana Public Arts Commission and the Public Art League of Champaign-Urbana (PAL) are pleased to announce a Sculpture Competition to identify sculptures to be leased for a period of two years and sited in downtown Urbana. Selected artists will receive an honorarium of $1,500, sponsored by the Urbana Public Arts Commission. The Alliance for the Arts 26th Annual All Florida Juried Exhibition opening June 1st. The show will be juried by David Fithian, Exhibitions Coordinator at the Museum of Florida Art
in Deland. Prizes include $1000 Best in Show; $250 Golden Paints Certificate for 2nd place; $100 for 3rd place and a jurors choice award! Opening to all artists residing in Florida; only original artwork will be accepted.

4th Annual SculptureWalk Chelsea: Downtown Chelsea, Michigan

SculptureWalk Chelsea is an annual public arts project. 10 Sculptures will be juried into the exhibit and installed outdoor, on concrete pads in high profile locations in historic downtown Chelsea, Michigan. All work must be for sale and remain in the exhibit for the entire year (June 2012 – May 2013).
